Danny Ainge and Brad Stevens Get Extensions...Is Something Brewing?
Not the worst email to get on a Wednesday morning if you ask me. To anyone with a brain this obviously makes sense, you lock up Boy Wonder and Trader Danny as quickly as possible and for as long as possible. Now the Ainge extension doesn’t really move the needle for me, he’s clearly got a job with the Celts for life. I think the 1 title in 13 years but you still get an extension proves that.
What does make my ears perk up is the Stevens extension. He was half way through his deal, and there was chatter that he could get frustrated if the Celts didn’t become what was probably promised to him when they stole him from Butler. So…does this mean a big move is brewing? Something tells me Stevens didn’t sign this extension with the anticipation of seeing James Young (RIP) develop ya know? My Celtics Spidey sense is firing on all cylinders right now. Fireworks so hot right now. Fireworks.

I saw the story about Durant’s agent or whatever saying the Celtics know what players Durant wants to play with. I call heavy heavy bullshit on that whole story. My favorite part was how the guy was on “good authority” that they knew, but none of the players were discussed? Stinks to the high heavens. Ainge said himself a month ago on Toucher and Rich that he would let Durant or a player of his caliber choose whoever he wanted, but to me it just seemed like a ploy to get some clicks by typing the name “Durant” right after they lost the WCF
